Chicago Site Walk
Join us on September 20th for a guided tour of our work at The Adler Planetarium & The Field Museum.

Our tour will begin at 10:30 on Friday September 20th at our booth, where we will give you a brief overview of Chicago sites. From there we will take Ubers over to the museum, first stop The Adler Planetarium.

The Adler Planetarium - The Adler Planetarium is the first planetarium in the western hemisphere, opened to the public. The Adler connects people, communities, and institutions to one another through the wonder of space science. In 2019, the Adler contacted Native Landscape Contractors with interest in reducing their landscape maintenance through implementation of native plant species in landscape surrounding the building. Not only did the native plant achieve the reduced maintenance but they also benefited the native wildlife of Chicago.

The Field Museum - Located on Chicago's iconic Lake Michigan shore, The Field Museum houses more than 40 million artifacts & specimens. In 2017, they decided to convert the plantings surrounding the build into a living exhibit. At this site, we will be looking a sustainable planting of native plants to the Chicagoland area including, Monarda, Purple Coneflower and Blackeyed Susan. Native Landscape Contractors is doing continued maintenance on this high profile native planting.
